Correlation One’s role

C1 Logo Blue@2x 1 (1)

Correlation One serves as both an RTI (Related Technical Instruction) provider and a group sponsor, acting as an end-to-end delivery partner for U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs focused on data and AI-enabled roles. This dual role enables comprehensive program delivery from registration through completion. We handle program design, registration, training delivery, employer enablement, apprentice support, and outcomes measurement—helping you build talent pipelines by hiring new individuals and/or upskilling existing employees, all while accessing federal and state funding.

  For employers

A Registered Apprenticeship is a federally-recognized, earn-and-learn model combining on-the-job training (OJT) with related technical instruction (RTI). These programs can be flexibly designed to train new hires entering your workforce or to upskill and reskill existing employees. Apprentices receive nationally portable credentials upon completion, and employers may access tax credits and other incentives.

  Proven approach

Our model is already creating results across multiple states. We've successfully registered Pennsylvania's first-ever Data Analyst apprenticeship and are expanding partnerships with employers nationwide who need data-literate teams, whether through new hires or upskilling existing staff.

Benefits

Why registered apprenticeships matter now

Traditional hiring and talent development can no longer keep pace with the AI economy. Registered Apprenticeships bridge this gap, enabling you to recruit or upskill talent into data-driven roles while earning federal credentials.

This model is now more accessible than ever thanks to a national shift toward "Pay-for-Success" funding. Under this framework, public grants—already active in states like California and Maryland—cover training costs as your apprentices reach key performance milestones like retention and completion. This allows your organization to shift the financial risk of talent development to public payors.

Correlation One manages the administrative complexity of these state-validated pathways, ensuring you capture your share of this multi-billion dollar funding surge to build a resilient, AI-ready workforce at a fraction of the traditional cost.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is a Registered Apprenticeship Program?

A Registered Apprenticeship is a federally-recognized, earn-and-learn model combining on-the-job training (OJT) with related technical instruction (RTI). These programs can be flexibly designed to train new hires entering your workforce or to upskill and reskill existing employees. Apprentices receive nationally portable credentials upon completion, and employers may access tax credits and other incentives.

How much time do apprentices spend in training vs. work?

Typically, apprentices (whether new hires or existing employees) spend 80-90% of their time on the job and 10-20% in related technical instruction. We work with you to design a schedule that maintains productivity while ensuring apprentices gain necessary skills.

Can we use apprenticeships for existing employees?

Absolutely. Registered Apprenticeships are highly flexible and can be used to train new hires entering your workforce or to upskill and reskill existing employees into higher-level data and AI roles. This approach improves talent acquisition, retention, builds institutional knowledge, and creates clear career pathways for motivated team members.

How much does a Registered Apprenticeship Program cost per apprentice?

Costs vary based on program design, duration, cohort size, and customization needs. We work with employers to structure programs that maximize available funding sources (federal/state grants, tax credits) and deliver strong ROI through improved retention and productivity. We provide transparent pricing and help identify funding opportunities to offset costs.

How long does it take to set up a new program?

Timeline varies by state and program complexity, but typically 3-4 months from initial planning to DOL registration. We handle all paperwork, compliance documentation, and stakeholder coordination to streamline the process for both new talent acquisition and existing workforce development initiatives.

What funding or incentives are available?

Employers may qualify for federal and state tax credits, workforce development grants, and other financial incentives, whether they are training new hires or upskilling current staff. Eligibility varies by location and program structure. Our team helps you identify and access relevant funding sources.

What industries have you worked with?

We've partnered with employers across manufacturing, hospitality, airlines, pharmaceuticals, technology, finance, and other sectors. Data and AI skills are increasingly relevant across all industries, so if your business generates or uses data, we can help you implement RAPs for both new talent and existing workforce development.
